John Justin Wyeth
My journey began with a plumber and a secretary who met while working at a doctor’s office — my father, Hugh Wyeth, and my mother, Vernell Wyeth. From the beginning, they hoped I would pursue a career in law. Today, I am proud to say that I have followed that path.
I was born on April 27, 1959, at the former Copley Hospital in Aurora, Illinois. After graduating from West Aurora High School in 1977, I attended the University of Illinois, where I earned my degree in Accounting in 1981.
Following college, I returned home and commuted by Burlington Northern train to attend John Marshall Law School in Chicago. During my second year of law school, I also passed the CPA examination — a challenging and rewarding period that helped shape my approach to the practice of law.
From the very beginning of my legal career, my focus was clear: I wanted to help individuals and businesses plan for the future. I concentrated my studies on estate planning, real estate, and business law, with the goal of guiding clients through important decisions involving their families, finances, and organizations.
More than four decades later, that mission remains the foundation of my practice.
One of the most meaningful changes I have witnessed in the legal profession is the ability to serve clients beyond geographical boundaries. Through technology, email, and online communication, I am able to provide trusted legal guidance to clients throughout Illinois — wherever they may be.
